How to cancel Apple News+

Apple News+ is cancelled in the News app: Following → Subscriptions on an iPhone or iPad, or File → Manage Subscriptions on a Mac.

Checked in October 2026 against Apple News+’s own help pages. Apple News+ typically costs about €12.99 a month (€155.88 a year).

Cancel on the web

iPhone: News app → Following → scroll to Subscriptions (under Manage) → Apple News+ → Cancel Subscription.
iPad: News app → Subscriptions in the sidebar → Apple News+ → Cancel Subscription.
Mac: News app → File → Manage Subscriptions → Cancel Subscription next to Apple News+.

What happens after you cancel

After billing has started you can read all stories until the next billing date. Cancelled during the free trial, you're back to free stories straight away.

Watch out for

Part of Apple One Premier? Cancel through your Apple subscriptions instead.
On a free trial, cancel at least 24 hours before it ends.

Apple News+ Family Sharing covers up to 6 people at no extra cost — shared through Apple Family Sharing at no extra cost.

Make sure the charge really stops

Track Apple News+ in Cancely and mark it cancelled: the day before it would have renewed, you get a reminder to check your statement — so a cancellation that didn’t take doesn’t cost you another month.
