How to cancel Busuu Premium

Busuu Premium bought on the website is cancelled under Settings → Subscription → Cancel Premium. App store, PayPal and carrier subscriptions are cancelled there.

Checked in October 2026 against Busuu Premium’s own help pages. Busuu Premium typically costs about €13.99 a month (€167.88 a year).

Cancel on the web

Sign in on busuu.com, click your profile picture → Settings.
Open the Subscription tab and click Cancel Premium, then confirm.
Paid with PayPal? Remove Busuu from your PayPal automatic payments. Through a phone carrier? Cancel with the carrier.

Subscribed in the app?

If you signed up inside the Busuu Premium app on your phone, Apple or Google bills you, and only they can cancel it.

On an iPhone or iPad (billed by Apple)

Open Settings and tap your name at the top.
Tap Subscriptions.
Tap Busuu Premium, then Cancel Subscription, and confirm.

Not listed there? Apple doesn’t bill you for it — use the steps above. If it’s listed under Expired, it’s already cancelled.

On Android (billed by Google Play)

Open the Play Store and tap your profile picture.
Tap Payments & subscriptions, then Subscriptions.
Tap Busuu Premium, then Cancel subscription, and follow the prompts.

Deleting the app on either phone does not cancel anything.

Billed by someone else — PayPal and phone carriers? Cancel in that account, or ask them: Busuu Premium can’t end a subscription it doesn’t bill.

What happens after you cancel

Premium won't renew, and you can keep using it until the current subscription runs out.

Refunds

A 14-day money-back guarantee covers your first Premium payment only. Asking for a refund doesn't cancel the subscription — cancel too.

Make sure the charge really stops

Track Busuu Premium in Cancely and mark it cancelled: the day before it would have renewed, you get a reminder to check your statement — so a cancellation that didn’t take doesn’t cost you another month.
