How to cancel Coursera Plus

Coursera Plus is cancelled on your Purchases page under Subscriptions. An annual plan has a 14-day money-back guarantee; a monthly plan isn't refunded after the trial.

Checked in October 2026 against Coursera Plus’s own help pages. Coursera Plus typically costs about €59 a month (€708 a year).

Cancel on the web

Sign in on coursera.org and open your Purchases page.
In the Subscriptions tab, find Coursera Plus and select Cancel subscription.
Annual plan within 14 days? Use the refund link next to it in the Purchase History tab instead — that cancels it too.

Subscribed in the app?

If you signed up inside the Coursera Plus app on your phone, Apple or Google bills you, and only they can cancel it.

On an iPhone or iPad (billed by Apple)

Open Settings and tap your name at the top.
Tap Subscriptions.
Tap Coursera Plus, then Cancel Subscription, and confirm.

Not listed there? Apple doesn’t bill you for it — use the steps above. If it’s listed under Expired, it’s already cancelled.

On Android (billed by Google Play)

Open the Play Store and tap your profile picture.
Tap Payments & subscriptions, then Subscriptions.
Tap Coursera Plus, then Cancel subscription, and follow the prompts.

Deleting the app on either phone does not cancel anything.

What happens after you cancel

Cancelling stops future payments; you keep access until the end of the current billing period.

Refunds

Annual plans: 14-day money-back guarantee, after which your courses switch to Preview mode and certificates earned in that window are lost; the money takes up to 7–10 business days. Monthly plans aren't refunded after the free trial. Coursera can refuse refunds where premium content has been used.

Watch out for

On a monthly free trial? Cancel before it ends to avoid the first charge.
Bought in the mobile app? Request any refund from a web browser, not the app.

Make sure the charge really stops
