How to cancel Grindr XTRA

Grindr XTRA is cancelled in the store you subscribed through — App Store, Google Play or the Grindr app. Deleting your profile or the app doesn't cancel it.

Checked in October 2026 against Grindr XTRA’s own help pages. Grindr XTRA typically costs about €16.99 a month (€203.88 a year).

Cancel on the web

iPhone: App Store → your profile icon → Subscriptions → Grindr → Cancel Subscription.
Android: Play Store → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Grindr → Cancel and confirm; a confirmation email follows.
Bought directly through Apple? Cancel with Apple Support.

Subscribed in the app?

If you signed up inside the Grindr XTRA app on your phone, Apple or Google bills you, and only they can cancel it.

On an iPhone or iPad (billed by Apple)

Open Settings and tap your name at the top.
Tap Subscriptions.
Tap Grindr XTRA, then Cancel Subscription, and confirm.

Not listed there? Apple doesn’t bill you for it — use the steps above. If it’s listed under Expired, it’s already cancelled.

On Android (billed by Google Play)

Open the Play Store and tap your profile picture.
Tap Payments & subscriptions, then Subscriptions.
Tap Grindr XTRA, then Cancel subscription, and follow the prompts.

Deleting the app on either phone does not cancel anything.

What happens after you cancel

You keep your premium features until the end of the current billing period.

Refunds

Grindr says all purchases are final and non-refundable; Apple purchases are refunded through Apple. The Terms of Service give a short statutory cancellation window in some regions, such as 14 days.

Watch out for

Cancel a free trial at least 72 hours before it ends to avoid being charged.
Cancel manually in your device's store settings — removing the app won't do it.

Make sure the charge really stops

Track Grindr XTRA in Cancely and mark it cancelled: the day before it would have renewed, you get a reminder to check your statement — so a cancellation that didn’t take doesn’t cost you another month.
