How to cancel Monzo Plus

Monzo Plus is cancelled in the app: Plus tab → settings (bottom) → cancel. It ends at once, and Monzo no longer sells Plus — if you cancel you can't sign up again.

Checked in October 2026 against Monzo Plus’s own help pages. Monzo Plus typically costs about €5.99 a month (€71.88 a year).

Cancel on the web

Open the Monzo app and go to your Plus tab.
Tap settings at the bottom and choose the cancel option.
Order a standard replacement card when asked.

What happens after you cancel

Cancelling takes effect immediately and you lose Plus benefits such as interest and custom categories.

Refunds

Per the terms: cancel within 14 days of signing up for a refund of the monthly fee, but a £5 card-delivery charge applies; a £5 cost is also listed up to the 3-month minimum term; after that the monthly fee is refunded for the rest of the month.

Watch out for

You won't be able to rejoin Monzo Plus once cancelled, even by accident.
You must cancel a Plus, Premium, Extra, Perks or Max subscription before closing the account.

Make sure the charge really stops

Track Monzo Plus in Cancely and mark it cancelled: the day before it would have renewed, you get a reminder to check your statement — so a cancellation that didn’t take doesn’t cost you another month.
