How to cancel NordVPN

NordVPN is “cancelled” by turning off auto-renewal in your Nord Account. A refund is a separate request to support, within 30 days.

Checked in October 2026 against NordVPN’s own help pages. NordVPN typically costs about €12.99 a month (€155.88 a year).

Cancel on the web

Sign in to your Nord Account.
Open Billing.
Click Cancel next to Auto-renewal and confirm; a confirmation email follows.

Subscribed in the app?

If you signed up inside the NordVPN app on your phone, Apple or Google bills you, and only they can cancel it.

On an iPhone or iPad (billed by Apple)

Open Settings and tap your name at the top.
Tap Subscriptions.
Tap NordVPN, then Cancel Subscription, and confirm.

Not listed there? Apple doesn’t bill you for it — use the steps above. If it’s listed under Expired, it’s already cancelled.

On Android (billed by Google Play)

Open the Play Store and tap your profile picture.
Tap Payments & subscriptions, then Subscriptions.
Tap NordVPN, then Cancel subscription, and follow the prompts.

Deleting the app on either phone does not cancel anything.

What happens after you cancel

Nothing more is charged, and the VPN keeps working until the end of the period you've paid for.

Refunds

The 30-day money-back guarantee covers the first purchase made on NordVPN's website, not renewals. Ask support (live chat or support@nordvpn.com) within 30 days; turning off auto-renewal alone doesn't refund anything.

Watch out for

Bought through Apple, Google Play or Amazon? Cancel in that store.
Cancelling doesn't delete your account data — that's a separate request to support.

Make sure the charge really stops

Track NordVPN in Cancely and mark it cancelled: the day before it would have renewed, you get a reminder to check your statement — so a cancellation that didn’t take doesn’t cost you another month.
