How to cancel Readwise

Readwise is cancelled in Account Preferences on readwise.io, or by emailing hello@readwise.io. Support can also switch you to manual billing instead.

Checked in October 2026 against Readwise’s own help pages. Readwise typically costs about €7.99 a month (€95.88 a year).

Cancel on the web

Sign in on readwise.io and open Account Preferences.
Cancel your subscription there.
Or email hello@readwise.io to cancel.

Check your account to confirm the subscription shows as cancelled.

Refunds

Payments are final and non-refundable unless Readwise decides otherwise.

Watch out for

You can ask support to switch the account to manual billing: you get an invoice on each billing date and pay only if you choose to renew.
A charge can be disputed within 60 days of it being made.

Make sure the charge really stops

Track Readwise in Cancely and mark it cancelled: the day before it would have renewed, you get a reminder to check your statement — so a cancellation that didn’t take doesn’t cost you another month.
