How to cancel Rosetta Stone

Checked in October 2026 against Rosetta Stone’s own help pages. Rosetta Stone typically costs about €15.99 a month (€191.88 a year).

Cancel on the web

  1. Sign in on a computer at rosettastone.com and open My Account.
  2. Under Your products, select Turn off auto-renew.
  3. On a newer subscription: Account settings → Manage subscription → Cancel subscription.

Open Rosetta Stone: Cancel your subscription ↗

Subscribed in the app?

If you signed up inside the Rosetta Stone app on your phone, Apple or Google bills you, and only they can cancel it.

On an iPhone or iPad (billed by Apple)

  1. Open Settings and tap your name at the top.
  2. Tap Subscriptions.
  3. Tap Rosetta Stone, then Cancel Subscription, and confirm.

Not listed there? Apple doesn’t bill you for it — use the steps above. If it’s listed under Expired, it’s already cancelled.

On Android (billed by Google Play)

  1. Open the Play Store and tap your profile picture.
  2. Tap Payments & subscriptions, then Subscriptions.
  3. Tap Rosetta Stone, then Cancel subscription, and follow the prompts.

Deleting the app on either phone does not cancel anything.

What happens after you cancel

The subscription runs to the end of the period you've paid for, then stops renewing.

Refunds

Subscriptions bought directly from Rosetta Stone have a 14-day satisfaction guarantee — contact the Memberships team (1-800-767-3882). After that, no prorated refund for the current period.

Watch out for

  • You can't cancel a direct subscription in the mobile app or on the mobile website.
  • App store subscriptions renew automatically by default.

Make sure the charge really stops

Track Rosetta Stone in Cancely and mark it cancelled: the day before it would have renewed, you get a reminder to check your statement — so a cancellation that didn’t take doesn’t cost you another month.
