How to cancel X Premium

X Premium is cancelled on the platform where you subscribed: in Settings on x.com for web subscriptions, or in your App Store or Google Play subscriptions.

Checked in October 2026 against X Premium’s own help pages. X Premium typically costs about €8 a month (€96 a year).

Cancel on the web

Subscribed on x.com: open Settings → your Premium subscription and cancel.
Subscribed on iPhone: cancel in your App Store subscriptions.
Subscribed on Android: cancel in your Google Play subscriptions.

Subscribed in the app?

If you signed up inside the X Premium app on your phone, Apple or Google bills you, and only they can cancel it.

On an iPhone or iPad (billed by Apple)

Open Settings and tap your name at the top.
Tap Subscriptions.
Tap X Premium, then Cancel Subscription, and confirm.

Not listed there? Apple doesn’t bill you for it — use the steps above. If it’s listed under Expired, it’s already cancelled.

On Android (billed by Google Play)

Open the Play Store and tap your profile picture.
Tap Payments & subscriptions, then Subscriptions.
Tap X Premium, then Cancel subscription, and follow the prompts.

Deleting the app on either phone does not cancel anything.

What happens after you cancel

Premium features, including the checkmark, stay until the end of the billing cycle.

Refunds

Cancelling doesn't refund what you've already paid. App purchases are refunded by Apple or Google.

Watch out for

Cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date.
Deactivating your account doesn't cancel a Premium subscription bought in the app.
A gifted subscription is cancelled by messaging @Subscriptions.

Make sure the charge really stops

Track X Premium in Cancely and mark it cancelled: the day before it would have renewed, you get a reminder to check your statement — so a cancellation that didn’t take doesn’t cost you another month.
