How to cancel Acorn TV

Acorn TV bought directly is cancelled under My Acorn TV → Manage Account on the website. Through Roku, Apple, Google Play, Amazon or a cable provider, cancel there.

Checked in October 2026 against Acorn TV’s own help pages. Acorn TV typically costs about €6.99 a month (€83.88 a year).

Cancel on the web

Log in on acorn.tv on a computer or in a mobile browser.
Select My Acorn TV at the top right, then Manage Account.
Choose the option to cancel your membership.

Subscribed in the app?

If you signed up inside the Acorn TV app on your phone, Apple or Google bills you, and only they can cancel it.

On an iPhone or iPad (billed by Apple)

Open Settings and tap your name at the top.
Tap Subscriptions.
Tap Acorn TV, then Cancel Subscription, and confirm.

Not listed there? Apple doesn’t bill you for it — use the steps above. If it’s listed under Expired, it’s already cancelled.

On Android (billed by Google Play)

Open the Play Store and tap your profile picture.
Tap Payments & subscriptions, then Subscriptions.
Tap Acorn TV, then Cancel subscription, and follow the prompts.

Deleting the app on either phone does not cancel anything.

Billed by someone else — Roku, Amazon, Comcast/Xfinity and Samsung? Cancel in that account, or ask them: Acorn TV can’t end a subscription it doesn’t bill.

What happens after you cancel

Check your Account Status page afterwards to confirm the membership shows as cancelled.

Watch out for

Acorn TV can't cancel a Roku subscription or refund it. The Billing Information on your Account Status page says if Roku or iTunes bills you.
Signed up through the Samsung Smart TV app? Deleting the app doesn't stop billing — unsubscribe in your Samsung account's payment settings or at samsungcheckout.com.
On a free trial, cancel before it ends or the monthly price starts.

Make sure the charge really stops

Track Acorn TV in Cancely and mark it cancelled: the day before it would have renewed, you get a reminder to check your statement — so a cancellation that didn’t take doesn’t cost you another month.
