How to cancel Asana
Asana is cancelled by the billing owner in the admin console → Billing → Cancel plan. The free Personal plan starts at the end of the billing period.
Checked in October 2026 against Asana’s own help pages. Asana typically costs about €10.99 a month (€131.88 a year).
Cancel on the web
- As the billing owner, open your profile photo → Admin console → Billing.
- Choose Cancel plan/trial (or Edit plan) and confirm.
- After a trial: choose “Downgrade to a free Asana Personal plan”, tick Confirm downgrade and click Downgrade to Personal.
What happens after you cancel
Rules, goals, portfolios and other paid features become unavailable, and you can't collaborate in teams of more than 10. Your setup is kept if you upgrade again.
Watch out for
- An annual plan ends on its renewal date, not immediately.
- Export tasks and projects to CSV if you need them outside Asana.
Make sure the charge really stops
Track Asana in Cancely and mark it cancelled: the day before it would have renewed, you get a reminder to check your statement — so a cancellation that didn’t take doesn’t cost you another month.
