How to cancel Backblaze
Backblaze Personal Backup is cancelled by removing every backup and licence from your account — and removing a backup deletes its data for good.
Checked in October 2026 against Backblaze’s own help pages. Backblaze typically costs about €8 a month (€96 a year).
Cancel on the web
- Sign in to your Backblaze account and open Preferences.
- Delete each backup.
- Open Overview and delete the leftover unused licence under Unused License.
What happens after you cancel
Your account information stays accessible unless you also delete the account.
Refunds
Monthly plans can be stopped at any time but aren't refunded. One- and two-year plans can be fully refunded up to 30 days after subscribing.
Watch out for
- Deleting a backup immediately and irreversibly deletes that backup data — download what you need first.
- Support can't cancel a subscription on your behalf.
Make sure the charge really stops
Track Backblaze in Cancely and mark it cancelled: the day before it would have renewed, you get a reminder to check your statement — so a cancellation that didn’t take doesn’t cost you another month.
