How to cancel Bitwarden Premium

Bitwarden Premium is cancelled in the web app under Settings → Subscription. Within 30 days of buying it, support can refund it.

Checked in October 2026 against Bitwarden Premium’s own help pages. Bitwarden Premium typically costs about €0.83 a month (€9.96 a year).

Cancel on the web

Sign in to the Bitwarden web app and open Settings → Subscription.
Note the Next charge date, then select Cancel subscription.

What happens after you cancel

The account shows Pending cancellation and keeps Premium until the Next charge date, then becomes a free individual account.

Refunds

Cancelled within 30 days of the subscription's creation? Contact Bitwarden support for a refund. Older subscriptions aren't refunded.

Watch out for

Deleting your account isn't the same as cancelling — and you lose the vault.
An organization's subscription is cancelled by its owner in the Admin Console → Billing → Subscription.

Cheaper than cancelling?

Bitwarden Premium Families covers up to 6 people for about €40 a year.

Make sure the charge really stops

Track Bitwarden Premium in Cancely and mark it cancelled: the day before it would have renewed, you get a reminder to check your statement — so a cancellation that didn’t take doesn’t cost you another month.
