How to cancel Claude Pro
Claude Pro is cancelled in Settings → Billing on claude.ai or the desktop app — or in the App Store / Google Play if you subscribed on your phone.
Checked in October 2026 against Claude Pro’s own help pages. Claude Pro typically costs about €18 a month (€216 a year).
Cancel on the web
- Sign in on claude.ai (or open the desktop app).
- Click your initials in the lower-left corner → Settings → Billing.
- Select Cancel and confirm.
Subscribed in the app?
If you signed up inside the Claude Pro app on your phone, Apple or Google bills you, and only they can cancel it.
On an iPhone or iPad (billed by Apple)
- Open Settings and tap your name at the top.
- Tap Subscriptions.
- Tap Claude Pro, then Cancel Subscription, and confirm.
Not listed there? Apple doesn’t bill you for it — use the steps above. If it’s listed under Expired, it’s already cancelled.
On Android (billed by Google Play)
- Open the Play Store and tap your profile picture.
- Tap Payments & subscriptions, then Subscriptions.
- Tap Claude Pro, then Cancel subscription, and follow the prompts.
Deleting the app on either phone does not cancel anything.
What happens after you cancel
You keep Pro until the end of the current billing period.
Refunds
A refund is a separate request through the help messenger — asking for one doesn't cancel the plan.
Watch out for
- Cancel at least 24 hours before the next billing date to avoid the next charge.
Make sure the charge really stops
Track Claude Pro in Cancely and mark it cancelled: the day before it would have renewed, you get a reminder to check your statement — so a cancellation that didn’t take doesn’t cost you another month.
