How to cancel CleanMyMac
CleanMyMac bought from MacPaw is cancelled in your MacPaw Account. Bought in the App Store, cancel in your Apple subscriptions.
Checked in October 2026 against CleanMyMac’s own help pages. CleanMyMac typically costs about €39.95 a year.
Cancel on the web
- Sign in to your MacPaw Account and choose CleanMyMac.
- Select Cancel Subscription — the status shows Inactive within 2–3 minutes.
- Can't reach your account (activation-code purchase)? Use MacPaw's Subscription Manager page: it emails you an access link, then cancel under Billing Details.
- App Store purchase: Account settings → Manage next to Subscriptions → CleanMyMac → Cancel Subscription.
Subscribed in the app?
If you signed up inside the CleanMyMac app on your phone, Apple or Google bills you, and only they can cancel it.
On an iPhone or iPad (billed by Apple)
- Open Settings and tap your name at the top.
- Tap Subscriptions.
- Tap CleanMyMac, then Cancel Subscription, and confirm.
Not listed there? Apple doesn’t bill you for it — use the steps above. If it’s listed under Expired, it’s already cancelled.
On Android (billed by Google Play)
- Open the Play Store and tap your profile picture.
- Tap Payments & subscriptions, then Subscriptions.
- Tap CleanMyMac, then Cancel subscription, and follow the prompts.
Deleting the app on either phone does not cancel anything.
What happens after you cancel
No more charges. You keep full access until the end of the paid period; after that most features lock until you resubscribe.
Watch out for
- If the Subscription Manager can't find your email, try the MacPaw Account route.
Make sure the charge really stops
Track CleanMyMac in Cancely and mark it cancelled: the day before it would have renewed, you get a reminder to check your statement — so a cancellation that didn’t take doesn’t cost you another month.
