How to cancel discovery+
discovery+ bought directly is cancelled from the Subscription page on discoveryplus.com. The top of that page shows if Apple, Google, Amazon, Roku or a TV provider bills you instead.
Checked in October 2026 against discovery+’s own help pages. discovery+ typically costs about €3.99 a month (€47.88 a year).
Cancel on the web
- Sign in on discoveryplus.com and open your profile menu → Subscription (or Account).
- Check who bills you at the top of the page.
- Choose Cancel Your Subscription.
Subscribed in the app?
If you signed up inside the discovery+ app on your phone, Apple or Google bills you, and only they can cancel it.
On an iPhone or iPad (billed by Apple)
- Open Settings and tap your name at the top.
- Tap Subscriptions.
- Tap discovery+, then Cancel Subscription, and confirm.
Not listed there? Apple doesn’t bill you for it — use the steps above. If it’s listed under Expired, it’s already cancelled.
On Android (billed by Google Play)
- Open the Play Store and tap your profile picture.
- Tap Payments & subscriptions, then Subscriptions.
- Tap discovery+, then Cancel subscription, and follow the prompts.
Deleting the app on either phone does not cancel anything.
Billed by someone else — Amazon (Prime Video Channels), Roku and TV, broadband or mobile providers? Cancel in that account, or ask them: discovery+ can’t end a subscription it doesn’t bill.
What happens after you cancel
Access generally continues until the end of the period you've paid for.
Watch out for
- Cancel at least a day before your next billing date.
- Deleting the app does not cancel the subscription.
- “discovery+ via” a TV, broadband or mobile provider is cancelled with that provider.
- Through Prime Video Channels? Cancel it in your Amazon account.
Make sure the charge really stops
Track discovery+ in Cancely and mark it cancelled: the day before it would have renewed, you get a reminder to check your statement — so a cancellation that didn’t take doesn’t cost you another month.
