How to cancel Dropout

Dropout bought on its website is cancelled on the website only: avatar menu → Manage Subscription. App subscriptions are cancelled with Apple, Google Play, Roku or Amazon.

Checked in October 2026 against Dropout’s own help pages. Dropout typically costs about €5.99 a month (€71.88 a year).

Cancel on the web

Sign in on the Dropout website and open the avatar menu.
Go to Manage Subscription, choose cancel, pick an option and confirm on the final screen.
Look for the confirmation email; if it doesn't arrive, check the subscription shows as cancelled in your settings.

Subscribed in the app?

If you signed up inside the Dropout app on your phone, Apple or Google bills you, and only they can cancel it.

On an iPhone or iPad (billed by Apple)

Open Settings and tap your name at the top.
Tap Subscriptions.
Tap Dropout, then Cancel Subscription, and confirm.

Not listed there? Apple doesn’t bill you for it — use the steps above. If it’s listed under Expired, it’s already cancelled.

On Android (billed by Google Play)

Open the Play Store and tap your profile picture.
Tap Payments & subscriptions, then Subscriptions.
Tap Dropout, then Cancel subscription, and follow the prompts.

Deleting the app on either phone does not cancel anything.

Billed by someone else — Roku and Amazon? Cancel in that account, or ask them: Dropout can’t end a subscription it doesn’t bill.

What happens after you cancel

You keep access until the end of the current billing period and aren't charged again.

Watch out for

A subscription paid on the website can't be cancelled in the apps.
Annual plans in Germany or Quebec may be set to end 60 days before renewal because of local law; you get an email with steps to resume.
No options on the Manage Subscription page? Contact support with the account email or the last four digits of the card.

Cheaper than cancelling?

Pause a monthly website subscription for one to three months; annual plans can't be paused.

Make sure the charge really stops

Track Dropout in Cancely and mark it cancelled: the day before it would have renewed, you get a reminder to check your statement — so a cancellation that didn’t take doesn’t cost you another month.
