How to cancel Evernote
Evernote is cancelled in Account Settings → Billing. Monthly plans can be refunded within 20 days of a charge, annual plans within 60.
Checked in October 2026 against Evernote’s own help pages. Evernote typically costs about €12.99 a month (€155.88 a year).
Cancel on the web
- Sign in on evernote.com and open Account Settings.
- Go to Billing and cancel the subscription.
- Paid through Apple or Google? Cancel in that store.
Subscribed in the app?
If you signed up inside the Evernote app on your phone, Apple or Google bills you, and only they can cancel it.
On an iPhone or iPad (billed by Apple)
- Open Settings and tap your name at the top.
- Tap Subscriptions.
- Tap Evernote, then Cancel Subscription, and confirm.
Not listed there? Apple doesn’t bill you for it — use the steps above. If it’s listed under Expired, it’s already cancelled.
On Android (billed by Google Play)
- Open the Play Store and tap your profile picture.
- Tap Payments & subscriptions, then Subscriptions.
- Tap Evernote, then Cancel subscription, and follow the prompts.
Deleting the app on either phone does not cancel anything.
What happens after you cancel
The subscription stays active to the end of the billing cycle, then the account goes back to Evernote Free. Your notes stay.
Refunds
Individual plans: within 20 days of a monthly charge or 60 days of an annual one, through a support ticket (Accounts and Subscriptions → I'd like to request a refund). No prorated refunds after that. App store payments may have to be refunded by the store.
Watch out for
- Cancelling alone doesn't refund the current period — request the refund separately.
Make sure the charge really stops
Track Evernote in Cancely and mark it cancelled: the day before it would have renewed, you get a reminder to check your statement — so a cancellation that didn’t take doesn’t cost you another month.
