How to cancel Fastmail
Fastmail is cancelled in Settings → Billing & Plan. You keep the account to the end of the billing cycle; unused time isn't refunded.
Checked in October 2026 against Fastmail’s own help pages. Fastmail typically costs about €5 a month (€60 a year).
Cancel on the web
- Sign in to Fastmail and open Settings → Billing & Plan.
- Cancel the account. You can undo it before the billing cycle ends.
- Want your data gone at once? After cancelling, choose the delete option on the same page.
Subscribed in the app?
If you signed up inside the Fastmail app on your phone, Apple or Google bills you, and only they can cancel it.
On an iPhone or iPad (billed by Apple)
- Open Settings and tap your name at the top.
- Tap Subscriptions.
- Tap Fastmail, then Cancel Subscription, and confirm.
Not listed there? Apple doesn’t bill you for it — use the steps above. If it’s listed under Expired, it’s already cancelled.
On Android (billed by Google Play)
- Open the Play Store and tap your profile picture.
- Tap Payments & subscriptions, then Subscriptions.
- Tap Fastmail, then Cancel subscription, and follow the prompts.
Deleting the app on either phone does not cancel anything.
What happens after you cancel
Access continues to the end of the billing cycle and no further payments are taken.
Refunds
Fastmail doesn't refund unused subscription time; refunds are at its discretion.
Watch out for
- An admin has to delete all other users before the account can be cancelled.
- Subscribed through Apple? Cancel with Apple — it stops auto-renewal, and you keep access until the period ends.
Make sure the charge really stops
Track Fastmail in Cancely and mark it cancelled: the day before it would have renewed, you get a reminder to check your statement — so a cancellation that didn’t take doesn’t cost you another month.
