How to cancel Final Fantasy XIV
Final Fantasy XIV's recurring subscription is cancelled in Mog Station: Service Account Status → Cancel Subscription. You play on until the paid time runs out.
Checked in October 2026 against Final Fantasy XIV’s own help pages. Final Fantasy XIV typically costs about €12.99 a month (€155.88 a year).
Cancel on the web
- Log in to Mog Station with your Square Enix Account and pick the right service account.
- Open Service Account Status and select Cancel Subscription — it only appears if you have an active recurring subscription.
What happens after you cancel
You can keep playing for the rest of the time already paid for. Reactivating before the billing cycle ends keeps the original cycle.
Refunds
Support can't refund subscriptions, so cancel before the recurring billing date.
Watch out for
- Cancelling retainer services doesn't cancel your recurring game time.
- Deactivating the whole service account is a separate step on the Square Enix account site, and no refund is given for the rest of the cycle.
Make sure the charge really stops
Track Final Fantasy XIV in Cancely and mark it cancelled: the day before it would have renewed, you get a reminder to check your statement — so a cancellation that didn’t take doesn’t cost you another month.
