How to cancel Ghost Pro
Ghost(Pro) is cancelled by the site owner in Ghost Admin under Ghost(Pro) → Billing, with the red Cancel account link. The site is deleted when the billing cycle ends.
Checked in October 2026 against Ghost Pro’s own help pages. Ghost Pro typically costs about €9 a month (€108 a year).
Cancel on the web
- Export your content first — the standard export leaves out images, themes and other files.
- Log in to Ghost Admin and open Ghost(Pro) → Billing.
- Click Cancel account (red, bottom left) and confirm.
Open Ghost: Manage your subscription ↗
What happens after you cancel
The site and account are removed when the current billing cycle ends. For a quicker takedown, contact support@ghost.org.
Watch out for
- For a complete archive including images and themes, email support@ghost.org before cancelling.
- There's no pause: a site needs an active subscription to stay online, so stopping payment means cancelling the account.
Make sure the charge really stops
Track Ghost Pro in Cancely and mark it cancelled: the day before it would have renewed, you get a reminder to check your statement — so a cancellation that didn’t take doesn’t cost you another month.
