How to cancel HEY

HEY is cancelled in a desktop browser at app.hey.com/accounts → your HEY address → Billing & Invoices. Closing the account is a separate, later step.

Checked in October 2026 against HEY’s own help pages. HEY typically costs about €99 a year.

Cancel on the web

Open app.hey.com/accounts in a desktop browser and choose your HEY address.
Go to Billing & Invoices and cancel the subscription (the button reads “OK, cancel my subscription”).
To close the account as well, use Close This Account on the same page.

What happens after you cancel

Cancelling stops renewal and access continues until the paid period ends. After closing, HEY keeps your data for 30 days and then permanently deletes emails, contacts and attachments.

Refunds

A recent renewal can only be refunded once the account is closed — contact support from your backup email address.

Watch out for

Paid for at least a year? You keep your @hey.com address forever and can forward it.
Cancelled and refunded within the first year? The address is recycled 30 days after cancellation.
Trial accounts don't include forever forwarding.

Make sure the charge really stops

Track HEY in Cancely and mark it cancelled: the day before it would have renewed, you get a reminder to check your statement — so a cancellation that didn’t take doesn’t cost you another month.
