How to cancel Kit
Kit is changed or ended from Account & Billing: switch to a lower tier or downgrade, and cancelling keeps the account active to the last day of the billing period.
Checked in October 2026 against Kit’s own help pages. Kit typically costs about €25 a month (€300 a year).
Cancel on the web
- Open Account & Billing in Kit.
- Downgrade or switch to a lower tier when your subscriber count allows it (Creator Pro has a Downgrade button there).
- To go to the free plan, pause or downgrade — Kit saves your data.

What happens after you cancel
A cancelled account stays active until the last day of the billing period. The lower price on a tier switch starts on your next billing date.
Watch out for
- If your subscriber count is above the new tier's limit on the billing date, you stay on the current tier.
- Annual to monthly needs support through the in-app messenger and happens at the end of the annual cycle.
- Your Kit plan is separate from the paid products or newsletters you sell.
Make sure the charge really stops
Track Kit in Cancely and mark it cancelled: the day before it would have renewed, you get a reminder to check your statement — so a cancellation that didn’t take doesn’t cost you another month.
