How to cancel Linear

Linear is cancelled by a workspace admin in Settings → Administration → Billing. The change takes effect at the end of the billing period.

Checked in October 2026 against Linear’s own help pages. Linear typically costs about €8 a month (€96 a year).

Cancel on the web

As a workspace admin open Settings → Administration → Billing.
On the current plan card use Manage to change the plan or cancel.
You can also cancel by emailing billing@linear.app — Linear confirms it in writing.

What happens after you cancel

On a monthly plan it ends at the end of the billing month, on a yearly plan at the end of the billing year, then the workspace moves to Free with reduced features. Your data is kept.

Refunds

Linear doesn't refund cancellations made mid-subscription.

Watch out for

On Free, a workspace with over 250 issues can't create new ones.
On free plans all members become workspace admins.

Make sure the charge really stops

Track Linear in Cancely and mark it cancelled: the day before it would have renewed, you get a reminder to check your statement — so a cancellation that didn’t take doesn’t cost you another month.
