How to cancel McFit

McFIT is cancelled in writing, in the McFIT app or through customer service (contact form or chat). Long-term contracts need a month's notice before the end of the term.

Cancel on the web

In the McFIT app, cancel your membership (Kündigung), or send it through the contact form or chat on the McFIT help pages.
Get a confirmation of receipt and of the cancellation date, and keep it.
Cancelling for someone else needs their written authorisation.

What happens after you cancel

Flex contracts can be cancelled monthly. Long-term contracts can be cancelled with one month's notice to the end of a training period — usually the end of the minimum term.

Refunds

A contract signed online can be withdrawn within 14 days.

Watch out for

Moving or illness? Send proof with the cancellation; McFIT then checks whether it can let you out early.
A rest period (Ruhezeit) extends the contract and moves the cancellation date with it.
Changed your mind? You can withdraw the cancellation in the app up to the cancellation date and keep your terms.

Cheaper than cancelling?

Pause with a rest period in the app — the contract is extended by those months.

Make sure the charge really stops

Track McFit in Cancely and mark it cancelled: the day before it would have renewed, you get a reminder to check your statement — so a cancellation that didn’t take doesn’t cost you another month.
