How to cancel Strava

A Strava subscription is cancelled on the platform you bought it on — strava.com, the App Store or Google Play — at least 24 hours before it renews. Your activities stay either way.

Checked in October 2026 against Strava’s own help pages. Strava typically costs about €8.99 a month (€107.88 a year).

Cancel on the web

On the web: sign in at strava.com, select your profile picture → Settings → My Account, then Cancel Subscription.
In the app: open the You tab → the gear icon → Your Strava Subscription → Manage Your Subscription, which leads to the store you subscribed through.
The subscription page then shows the date your subscription features end.

Subscribed in the app?

If you signed up inside the Strava app on your phone, Apple or Google bills you, and only they can cancel it.

On an iPhone or iPad (billed by Apple)

Open Settings and tap your name at the top.
Tap Subscriptions.
Tap Strava, then Cancel Subscription, and confirm.

Not listed there? Apple doesn’t bill you for it — use the steps above. If it’s listed under Expired, it’s already cancelled.

On Android (billed by Google Play)

Open the Play Store and tap your profile picture.
Tap Payments & subscriptions, then Subscriptions.
Tap Strava, then Cancel subscription, and follow the prompts.

Deleting the app on either phone does not cancel anything.

What happens after you cancel

Subscription features keep working until the end of the current term. Nothing is deleted: activities, routes and data stay on a free account.

Refunds

Strava may refund a purchase in full if you ask Support within 14 days of buying; a renewal you forgot to cancel generally isn't refunded. Store purchases are refunded by Apple or Google.

Watch out for

Cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date, or the next term is charged.
A Family Plan owner can't leave the plan or hand it on, only cancel it so it doesn't renew.
A Strava + Runna bundle is managed from Strava's settings (Your Runna Subscription), not inside the Runna app.

Cheaper than cancelling?

The Family Plan covers several people for less than separate subscriptions.

Make sure the charge really stops

Track Strava in Cancely and mark it cancelled: the day before it would have renewed, you get a reminder to check your statement — so a cancellation that didn’t take doesn’t cost you another month.
