How to cancel MUBI

MUBI bought on its website is cancelled in your subscription settings, at least one day before renewal. Through Apple, Google Play or Roku, cancel there.

Checked in October 2026 against MUBI’s own help pages. MUBI typically costs about €12.99 a month (€155.88 a year).

Cancel on the web

  1. Sign in on mubi.com and open your subscription settings.
  2. Cancel the subscription.
  3. Subscribed on Roku? Cancel in your Roku account.

Subscribed in the app?

If you signed up inside the MUBI app on your phone, Apple or Google bills you, and only they can cancel it.

On an iPhone or iPad (billed by Apple)

  1. Open Settings and tap your name at the top.
  2. Tap Subscriptions.
  3. Tap MUBI, then Cancel Subscription, and confirm.

Not listed there? Apple doesn’t bill you for it — use the steps above. If it’s listed under Expired, it’s already cancelled.

On Android (billed by Google Play)

  1. Open the Play Store and tap your profile picture.
  2. Tap Payments & subscriptions, then Subscriptions.
  3. Tap MUBI, then Cancel subscription, and follow the prompts.

Deleting the app on either phone does not cancel anything.

Billed by someone else — Roku? Cancel in that account, or ask them: MUBI can’t end a subscription it doesn’t bill.

What happens after you cancel

You keep the time you've already paid for.

Refunds

Payments aren't refundable and partly used periods aren't credited, unless MUBI chooses to or the law requires.

Watch out for

  • Cancel at least one calendar day before renewal, or the next period is billed.

Cheaper than cancelling?

  • Pause the membership for one or three months from your subscription settings.

Make sure the charge really stops

Track MUBI in Cancely and mark it cancelled: the day before it would have renewed, you get a reminder to check your statement — so a cancellation that didn’t take doesn’t cost you another month.
