How to cancel NameSilo
NameSilo auto-renewal is switched off in Domain Manager (Set Auto Renewal → No). Cancelling a renewal deletes the domain, so be careful.
Checked in October 2026 against NameSilo’s own help pages. NameSilo typically costs about €9.19 a year.
Cancel on the web
- Log in to NameSilo and open Domain Manager.
- Tick the domain, choose Set Auto Renewal and select No.
- To cancel a renewal you've already bought, open Order History and click the red X in the Cancel column.
What happens after you cancel
With auto-renewal off, the domain simply isn't renewed at expiry.
Refunds
A renewal can be cancelled for a full refund (minus transaction fees) only within three days of purchase; after that, no refund. NameSilo may refuse if your cancellation rate is too high.
Watch out for
- Cancelling a renewal deletes the domain and puts it in the registry's redemption period. Asking for a refund of a manual renewal puts the domain into Pending Delete status straight away.
Make sure the charge really stops
Track NameSilo in Cancely and mark it cancelled: the day before it would have renewed, you get a reminder to check your statement — so a cancellation that didn’t take doesn’t cost you another month.
