How to cancel Nintendo Switch Online
Nintendo Switch Online isn't cancelled — you turn off automatic renewal, on the Nintendo Account website or in the eShop, at least 48 hours before it expires.
Checked in October 2026 against Nintendo Switch Online’s own help pages. Nintendo Switch Online typically costs about €3.99 a month (€47.88 a year).
Cancel on the web
- Sign in at accounts.nintendo.com/portal and select Nintendo Switch Online.
- Select Terminate automatic renewal, then confirm.
- On the console: Nintendo eShop → the account that bought it → your user icon (Account Information) → Nintendo Switch Online → Terminate Automatic Renewal.
What happens after you cancel
Your membership keeps working until its expiration date, then ends.
Refunds
Nintendo doesn't refund or credit the remaining time.
Watch out for
- The deadline is 48 hours before expiration — your subscription status shows the exact date.
- On a Family Membership, only the account that bought it can turn off renewal.
- Buying a new pass later switches automatic renewal on for that pass.
Cheaper than cancelling?
- Nintendo Switch Online Family Membership covers up to 8 people for about €34.99 a year.
