How to cancel Notion

Notion is cancelled by downgrading to Free in Settings → Billing → Change plan. A refund is only possible within 3 days of a monthly or 30 days of an annual invoice.

Checked in October 2026 against Notion’s own help pages. Notion typically costs about €11.50 a month (€138 a year).

Cancel on the web

Open Settings in the Notion sidebar → Billing → Change plan.
Select the Free plan, give feedback and confirm.

Open Notion Help: Change your plan ↗

Subscribed in the app?

If you signed up inside the Notion app on your phone, Apple or Google bills you, and only they can cancel it.

On an iPhone or iPad (billed by Apple)

Open Settings and tap your name at the top.
Tap Subscriptions.
Tap Notion, then Cancel Subscription, and confirm.

Not listed there? Apple doesn’t bill you for it — use the steps above. If it’s listed under Expired, it’s already cancelled.

On Android (billed by Google Play)

Open the Play Store and tap your profile picture.
Tap Payments & subscriptions, then Subscriptions.
Tap Notion, then Cancel subscription, and follow the prompts.

Deleting the app on either phone does not cancel anything.

What happens after you cancel

The downgrade takes effect at the end of the billing cycle. On Free, version history drops to 7 days and guests are capped at 10.

Refunds

Full refund if the workspace owner or billing email asks within 3 days of a monthly invoice or 30 days of an annual one. App Store subscriptions are refunded by Apple.

Watch out for

Downgrading doesn't refund anything by itself — ask for the refund separately while you're in the window.

Make sure the charge really stops

Track Notion in Cancely and mark it cancelled: the day before it would have renewed, you get a reminder to check your statement — so a cancellation that didn’t take doesn’t cost you another month.
