How to cancel Patreon pledge

A Patreon membership is cancelled in Settings → Memberships on the website, or under Your membership on the creator's page in the app. When access ends depends on how the creator bills.

Checked in October 2026 against Patreon pledge’s own help pages. Patreon pledge typically costs about €5 a month (€60 a year).

Cancel on the web

Desktop: Settings → Memberships → View Details next to the membership → Cancel membership, and confirm.
App: on the creator's page tap the three dots → Your membership → Edit membership → Cancel membership.
Choose whether to keep a free membership or leave entirely.

Subscribed in the app?

If you signed up inside the Patreon pledge app on your phone, Apple or Google bills you, and only they can cancel it.

On an iPhone or iPad (billed by Apple)

Open Settings and tap your name at the top.
Tap Subscriptions.
Tap Patreon pledge, then Cancel Subscription, and confirm.

Not listed there? Apple doesn’t bill you for it — use the steps above. If it’s listed under Expired, it’s already cancelled.

On Android (billed by Google Play)

Open the Play Store and tap your profile picture.
Tap Payments & subscriptions, then Subscriptions.
Tap Patreon pledge, then Cancel subscription, and follow the prompts.

Deleting the app on either phone does not cancel anything.

What happens after you cancel

With upfront or subscription billing you keep access until your next billing date. Per-creation memberships end as soon as you cancel, and any pending bills are processed. Annual memberships stay active until the year is up.

Refunds

Cancelled upfront memberships aren't refunded.

Watch out for

Cancel at least 24 hours before the next billing date.
There's no pause — cancel and rejoin later; you'll join as a new patron.

Make sure the charge really stops

Track Patreon pledge in Cancely and mark it cancelled: the day before it would have renewed, you get a reminder to check your statement — so a cancellation that didn’t take doesn’t cost you another month.
