How to cancel Shutterstock
Shutterstock is cancelled in the Cancel plan module on your account's Plans page. An annual plan billed monthly carries a fee of 50% of what's left if you leave early.
Checked in October 2026 against Shutterstock’s own help pages. Shutterstock typically costs about €29 a month (€348 a year).
Cancel on the web
- Sign in and open the Plans page of your account.
- Use the Cancel plan module and confirm.
- On-demand packs: switch off auto-refill on the Plans page.
What happens after you cancel
Annual plans paid upfront simply don't renew. Existing downloads stay available; on a subscription, remaining downloads last until the end of the current month of service.
Refunds
Generally no refund once a payment goes through; EU and UK customers can get one within 14 days if no downloads or credits were used.
Watch out for
- Annual plan with monthly billing: cancelling early costs 50% of the remaining subscription cost. The fee is waived if you switch to another subscription — contact support.
- Month-to-month plans, packs and annual plans billed upfront have no cancellation fee.
- Cancelling a plan isn't closing your account.
Make sure the charge really stops
Track Shutterstock in Cancely and mark it cancelled: the day before it would have renewed, you get a reminder to check your statement — so a cancellation that didn’t take doesn’t cost you another month.
