How to cancel Trello
Trello Standard or Premium is cancelled by a Workspace admin under the Workspace's Billing page. The Workspace becomes free at the end of the billing period.
Checked in October 2026 against Trello’s own help pages. Trello typically costs about €5 a month (€60 a year).
Cancel on the web
- Open the Trello logo menu, choose the Workspace, then Billing.
- Select Cancel at the bottom of the page — or Change plan and pick Free, depending on your billing setup.
- Not an admin? Ask one, or contact Trello support.
What happens after you cancel
Boards beyond the 10 most active are closed but not deleted; data from paid features is hidden, not deleted. Boards turn view-only until the Workspace has fewer than 10 collaborators. AI access ends.
Watch out for
- Export anything you need from paid features before the plan ends.
- Deleting your account doesn't cancel a multi-member Workspace's plan — you'll be asked to pick a new admin.
- A free trial can be cancelled immediately by choosing the Free plan.
Make sure the charge really stops
Track Trello in Cancely and mark it cancelled: the day before it would have renewed, you get a reminder to check your statement — so a cancellation that didn’t take doesn’t cost you another month.
