How to cancel Viaplay

Viaplay bought directly is cancelled under My account → Package information → Cancel package. Through a TV provider or Apple, cancel there.

Checked in October 2026 against Viaplay’s own help pages. Viaplay typically costs about €11.99 a month (€143.88 a year).

Cancel on the web

Sign in to Viaplay and open My account → Package information.
Select Cancel package and confirm.
Billed through a TV provider such as Telia, Tele2 or Telenor? Cancel with the provider, not Viaplay.
Billed through Apple: Settings → your Apple ID → Subscriptions → Viaplay.

Subscribed in the app?

If you signed up inside the Viaplay app on your phone, Apple or Google bills you, and only they can cancel it.

On an iPhone or iPad (billed by Apple)

Open Settings and tap your name at the top.
Tap Subscriptions.
Tap Viaplay, then Cancel Subscription, and confirm.

Not listed there? Apple doesn’t bill you for it — use the steps above. If it’s listed under Expired, it’s already cancelled.

On Android (billed by Google Play)

Open the Play Store and tap your profile picture.
Tap Payments & subscriptions, then Subscriptions.
Tap Viaplay, then Cancel subscription, and follow the prompts.

Deleting the app on either phone does not cancel anything.

Billed by someone else — Telia, Tele2, Telenor and other TV providers? Cancel in that account, or ask them: Viaplay can’t end a subscription it doesn’t bill.

What happens after you cancel

The cancellation takes effect on the last day of your current payment period, campaign or commitment period; you can keep watching until then.

Refunds

The terms say ending the subscription doesn't entitle you to a refund of fees paid in advance for the rest of the period.

Watch out for

With a commitment period, cancelling only takes effect once the commitment has ended.

Make sure the charge really stops

Track Viaplay in Cancely and mark it cancelled: the day before it would have renewed, you get a reminder to check your statement — so a cancellation that didn’t take doesn’t cost you another month.
