How to cancel Xbox Game Pass Ultimate

Game Pass is cancelled in your Microsoft account's Services & subscriptions, or on the console, before the next billing date.

Checked in October 2026 against Xbox Game Pass Ultimate’s own help pages. Xbox Game Pass Ultimate typically costs about €14.99 a month (€179.88 a year).

Cancel on the web

Sign in at account.microsoft.com/services.
Find Xbox Game Pass and select Manage.
Choose Cancel subscription, or Turn off recurring billing, and confirm.
On the console instead: press the Xbox button → Profile & system → Settings → Account → Subscriptions.

What happens after you cancel

Turning off recurring billing stops future charges; you keep Game Pass until it expires.

Refunds

Some regions allow ending it immediately with a pro-rata refund; not every charge can be refunded.

Watch out for

A payment method that's attached to a subscription can't be removed until you change how that subscription is paid.

Make sure the charge really stops
