How to cancel YouTube TV

YouTube TV is cancelled in Settings → Membership on the web or in the app. You can pause it for 4 weeks to 6 months instead.

Checked in October 2026 against YouTube TV’s own help pages. YouTube TV typically costs about €82.99 a month (€995.88 a year).

Cancel on the web

Sign in to YouTube TV in a browser and select your profile photo.
Open Settings, then Membership.
Select Manage next to your membership, then Cancel membership, and confirm with Cancel.
To drop only an add-on network, remove that add-on instead.

Subscribed in the app?

If you signed up inside the YouTube TV app on your phone, Apple or Google bills you, and only they can cancel it.

On an iPhone or iPad (billed by Apple)

Open Settings and tap your name at the top.
Tap Subscriptions.
Tap YouTube TV, then Cancel Subscription, and confirm.

Not listed there? Apple doesn’t bill you for it — use the steps above. If it’s listed under Expired, it’s already cancelled.

On Android (billed by Google Play)

Open the Play Store and tap your profile picture.
Tap Payments & subscriptions, then Subscriptions.
Tap YouTube TV, then Cancel subscription, and follow the prompts.

Deleting the app on either phone does not cancel anything.

Billed by someone else — mobile carriers and internet providers? Cancel in that account, or ask them: YouTube TV can’t end a subscription it doesn’t bill.

What happens after you cancel

You keep YouTube TV until the end of the billing or free-trial period you're in. Recordings in your library expire 21 days later.

Refunds

YouTube TV doesn't refund or credit partial billing periods. To cancel and lose access straight away, contact YouTube TV support.

Watch out for

Billed by a mobile carrier or internet provider? Cancel with them — YouTube can't refund those charges.
Recordings don't survive long after the membership ends: watch what you want to keep within 21 days.

Cheaper than cancelling?

Pause the membership for anything from 4 weeks to 6 months, e.g. outside your sports season.

Make sure the charge really stops

Track YouTube TV in Cancely and mark it cancelled: the day before it would have renewed, you get a reminder to check your statement — so a cancellation that didn’t take doesn’t cost you another month.
